Do literary agents only accept applications from writers with impressive titles?

People say that it is possible, though difficult for an unpublished writer to get an agent. However, each instance of an application "made" that I have read is incredibly high flow skills writing. Although not published novels, these writers have won dozens of consulting national essay competition, joined dozens of organizations dearly for writing (for much money you pay so you can see how a professional), published in numerous magazines new trains, he taught English for decades, and virtually won the Olympic events and wrote perhaps the Nobel Prize for writing too. Many Web sites with advice on how to write queries suggests lying about his qualifications and I refuse to lie. So my only option is to take several decades to become famous by posting news and stuff? What a writer should do when, instead to seek fame in the short stories, they spent their time and energy writing, revising and editing their real novel?

No – no need decades of awards, honors, and accessions to land an agent. The rating does not make you a good writer, and most agents know. Yes, it is difficult. Need a well written book, "a great hook, and a complaint letter written well. You need to direct their questions to the agents who represent books like yours (see the acknowledgments page of book of its kind, is often mentioned the name of the agent. There are also books that agents from the list and what they represent.) And you need to interview many of them can be found (and prevent fraud, of course). The query letter is the hardest part – that encapsulates the essence of his novel in a couple of paragraphs and will force against skills required for spinning a story. Several blogs and web sites that offer tips, suggestions, criticisms and letters of application. Evil is my favorite Editor: http://www.evileditor.blogspot.com You can apply on the website, and EE (and officials) will be crucial and generally ridiculous, but in a way useful. You can also read the archives now abandoned Miss Snark: http://www.misssnark.com offers strong, filled with wit, sardonic advice to authors with most of questions you have. Be patient and good luck!
