Do you have to have University qualifications to work in an advertising agency?I worked deliverying leaflets,catalogues,newspapers.I also worked in an office selling advertising space in a magazine, worked in telemarketing, door to door sales, worked some promotions jobs, met an American Director Ian MacDonald, have a certificate in photography and some knowledge of Graphic Design, know how to use a computer.What do you need to work in an advertising agency?I also worked for KFC and Pizza Hut.I am also published in a magazine.I worked in community television.So is this enough to work in an advertising agency.Oh yeah i won a “Solo” T-shirt in 1999 for my amateur advertisement.How many schools do you have to do to work in Advertising Agency?
What an advertising agency does to hire talent is “Advertise”.
That means that they publish an “Advertisement” somewhere where job seekers might find it, and then people like you that are interested in being considered for such assignments may apply accordingly.
If you can get the interview, get your foot in the door and talk to some people, you may convince them of your qualifications whatever is considered the norm for education. But there is no route but looking for ads, having a good resume and making the applications and doing some good interviews.
