13 reasons not so classic love Panama
Most of us have already read many articles about Panama, not to mention â € € œAbout Panamao section in the website of each agency promoting real estate property in the region.
There is no doubt that Panama has many advantages, including its strategic geographic incentives program for the site, for retirees and a relatively low cost of living, including others. However, some of the reasons why I like living in Panama is not in pursuit of the more obvious reasons, such as the Panama Canal (After show my guest room the Miraflores Locks, the output becomes a bit monotonous) or its proximity to Miami (Iâ € ™ never been to Miami in my life!). some pleasures can not be recognized after living in Panama as a stranger for some time.
While I appreciate the similarities that Panama and the World â € D € œWestern, also appreciate the differences, because they are the ones that make my life here truly unique and exciting.
Here are 13 reasons why Panama which makes life more interesting:
1. Casco Viejo
Casco Viejo, is 100% over the adjournment dominant scattered along the Avenue Balboa. Old Town is interesting mix of architectural styles, and more particularly Spanish flowers and French-influenced buildings. However, in addition to the views and unique architecture, there is something strange going on â € œ Old €! My roommate is the president of Panama 9A º º 80th, a mode of life and travel magazine about Panama. Their offices are located in the Casco Viejo and I get a kick from their fall quite a few mornings. Nâ € ™ ta is often I can get to laughing so hard I almost wet at 7:30 am Much better than coffee! (Well, it has been exaggerated. Café Sorry.)
One of my â € € œCasco favorite moments occurred one morning when I was falling off my friend at work. As they turned the corner of Avenue A, we seen a child about 7 years old urinating in the street. What does pee differently, I was not looking at the wall or partly hidden among the narrow streets nearby, but instead of the sidewalk, almost on the street in front of traffic! When we approached the situation, we saw a yellow liquid that flows from the projectile body and said, â € œThat canâ € ™ t be! € Â However, it has been. To date, this child and his â € € œnecessitiesâ still put a smile on my face.
2. Wine
Wine South America, Chile and Argentina, is much cheaper than in the U.S.. But who says you can have your cake and eat it too.
My friend and I were dying of our vices, one night, shopping for wine and ice cream at the El Rey supermarket. As they were outside control, $ 3.50 appeared on the screen as the price for wine. I said to my friend, â € œHow big is live in a country where a good bottle wine is $ 3.50!? â € then the ice came, and $ 8.50 appeared. My friends and I were extreme shock and incredulity. From then, we have sought other means, less costly to satisfy a sweet tooth.
3. Itto Sushi
Sushi delivered to your front | € * Door Need I say something else? If you think you donâ € ™ t sushi Panama, then you are in a lovely surprise. Itto Sushi, sushi snob in my humble opinion, is the sushi the best in Panama. Its conference in Philadelphia and edamame are very tasty.
What € ™ s even more interesting is when Iâ € ™ m walking Or I can ask a lot of sushi!
4. United States Dollar
"This is a frequently cited â € € œreasonâ why Panama is so great, and I agree with all my heart!
For foreigners, especially Americans, is great because it doesnâ € € ™ ŒMonopoly T € is money.â It is easy to know exactly how much you spend. No more work, subtraction, division or multiplication involved to calculate the price of a drink. For example, in Panama, it is easy to understand the value of what they buy, instead of throwing our money monopoly in any and every opportunity you have. This is particularly useful if you are out of the casinos!
5. Patacones
Patacones-fried banana cakes are incredibly delicious twice. I had not discovered prior to my arrival in Panama, and I'm an avid self-proclaimed Patacón!
6. Albrook Mall
Albrook Mall is a large, air conditioned shopping center Indoor offering a wide variety of discount stores and shops and a food court with a carousel. Be sure to check The Cost, Oca Loca and Conway for some bargains!
These stores are great for retail therapy. You can leave with about 15 shirts for $ 20. Even if you take only once, itâ € ™ sa lot cheaper that target.
7. Opportunities
– Panama is like the wild west of Central America. This is a huge variety of employment, business and investment opportunities waiting to be exploited. After having been in Panama for almost any amount of time what everybody calls the corporate foot.
8. Slang
"Despite that donâ € ™ t be used to use on my daily language, I must confess that I have a complete lack Panamanians € ™ when facing gringa see a presentation of truth "as Shea € ™ s neighborhood.
9. Cable TV with ABC and CBS
"All the great things about Panama merged with Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Greie € ™ s Anatomy. Will you do better?
10. Taxis
-Finally, cheap taxis! Taxis are plentiful Panama and relatively inexpensive cost of a fee of $ 1 to $ 2 for most locations in the city of Panama. However, the meter is not used, and therefore are should negotiate the price before departure. If you understand and speak Spanish, you can hear and participate in a series of conversations with pilots of color.
11. Keys Slippers, alias. Zapatila Cay
Shoe-Cay an island located about an hour by boat from Isla Colon in the main province of Bocas del Toro. Slipper Cay is amazingly beautiful, including spectacular views, crystal clear waters and white sand. It is certainly one of my favorite places in Panama.
12. Fireworks
"Back in the States, fireworks are set aside for 04 July, and some shows at Sea World. In Panama City, itâ € ™ t the bazaar to see fireworks during shutdown every night of the week. The New Year ™ € s, the whole city, and I mean as far as the eye can see, it ignites iridescent in color and shine with thousands of fireworks.
13. Compliments
"I '€ ™ sa compliment? I have found a direct translation me. Some dictionaries translate as â € œcompliment, â € if it is a serious understatement. Pyrope is a word that means men for a girl pretty as she is moving. Dating, not really. Torment, it could be. Most Westerners would agree that it is a â € I canâ € œLatin general thing.â € ™ t stand it and wants to turn over all that hissing and booing and shouting â € € œAy Mamia and hang out. However, the days roll out of bed and my hair is lost, I must say that I feel less horrible than the waltz along and still get â € € œYeah babi. I know it's all women. I was in a taxi Once the driver whistled and booed a couple of women who seemed they were pushing age 70. Iâ € ™ m does not imply that they are not appealing, but the driver was about 25! Moral of the story, itâ € ™ is a place for an ego boost.
Bono – Stir finger
"You all know the WAG finger to indicate his disagreement with something. The movement is usually performed in the index moving from left to right, considered by most incredibly rude and demeaning. Well, the Finger Wag is back in Panama! The best way to say no forever!
